Our founder, Dwayne, is an anthropology graduate and creative writer who uses his personal experiences, cultural heritage, and vivid imagination to share ideas and knowledge. What Are Spider Stories?

Spider stories, inspired by Anansi/Anancy, the mischievous spider from West African and Caribbean folklore, are central to our storytelling. To us, Anansi is more than just a character—he’s an archetype embodying curiosity, quick wit, and the art of navigating life’s odd circumstances, often of his own making. Anansi’s tales teach us about the principles of the scientific method—observation and questioning—applied not just in laboratories but in everyday life.
